Nautical Wedding Romance at The Lindon House in Kelowna
Well it’s an absolute treat whenever I get to work with amazing wedding vendors here in Kelowna. This colourful and phenomenal shoot was coordinated by Nicole at Created Lovely. Photography was by her skilled and stylish fiancé Royce who shoots not only weddings but is a professional ski photographer (ummm…. how cool is that). This project is a reflection of talent wrapped up in one cohesive couple having a wedding planner and photographer as a team.
The outstanding stationary was by the beautiful Laura from Dandelion Willows. Laura gets the MVP award because she not only created the amazing invites, but also the cake pop/straw flags, the menus, the cookie tags and the adorable table numbers. Laura is so much fun to work with because she will always exceeds your expectations when it comes to creativity and quality. Dandelion Willows can also provide cute baggies for candy bars, straws for your mason jars and all sorts of other paper goods that will blow your mind.
The beautiful model was in the excellent hands of professional makeup artist Melissa Craven who happens to be one of Kelowna’s most sought out makeup/hair artists as she’s the full package (no seriously she is). Did you catch that… she does makeup AND hair. I love the red lips and how Melissa made the model’s blue eye stand out so beautifully (sigh….). The fishtail braid was a perfect choice for the playful shoot and for the cuteness of the model.
Oh my goodness! The flowers were gorgeous and were the energizing colour force throughout the shoot. Classic Creations by Christina is my top choice for a florist in Kelowna. She is a cut above and is certainly one of the most lovely people you will ever meet. Her bouquets and arrangements are top notch quality and she is always going above and beyond for her clients.
The ‘I do’ cake and cake pops are made by my favourite cake artist Anna from Sweet On You. Her artistry is perfection and you’d be lucky to see her art work in person but sad to have to eat it. Anna is creative beyond belief and she LOVES what she does which makes me one very very happy friend.
Vintage Origami was sadly pulled away during the timing of this shoot so I had the amazing Nicole style with my props, decor, furniture, glassware, chargers and linens. I loved the navy stripped fabric napkins paired with the gold chargers and complimented with the bright blue glassware and rich red florals.
Check out those fantastic anchor cookies. That was the amazing work of Sarah from Sarah’s Sweets. Talk about detail oriented! I love the colour contrast and the fun option as a wedding favour. The only problem with Sarah’s cookies is that you certainly won’t want to give any away and heaven forbid you eat them as they look so darn cute.
Have you heard of Ashbury Bridal here in Kelowna? It’s a consignment high end dress boutique and their selection will knock your socks off. You better run quick because it’s a hot shop and everyone loves a great deal-let alone a stunning dress like the one seen here in our shoot.
