Vintage Origami was contracted by the amazing Jillian Harris to take the lead on a baby shower for her cousin Steph’s new baby boy, Joey. We decided to go with a National Park themed party and started the project off with a mood board and stationery design:

We started the Canadiana / National Park theme at the entrance to the venue with a photo backdrop we constructed to mimic a vintage cabin. We utlized an old barn door, created a faux wallpapered wall with red and white checkered fabric, and added in some vintage elements such as skates, skis, and custom-made penants.
The gift “table” was a stunningly restored rowboat that Kevin Trowbridge Photography was nice enough to entrust us with. We also had an area for the little ones to play in the cute A-frame tents we constructed complete with a campfire, forest trees, and kerosene lanterns.
Finally, the dessert table featured some amazing sweets highlighted by our green wall complete with the JOEY National Park stationery. Adorable cookies and cupcakes were made and decorated by Cake Mama and Sugar Sweet Cake Co. respectively. The whole display was outlined with an eco-friendly balloon garland created by Stephanie’s good friend at Cloud Nine Designs.
