Yuriko Larson moved to beautiful British Columbia in 2010 and soon after established her wedding decorating and styling business. She has now serviced over 750 weddings, events, and window displays as well as countless photo shoots in the Okanagan. Yuriko is proud to showcase her amazing city of Kelowna and the surrounding areas. Kelowna has become the wedding capital of Canada and her wedding decor, props and furniture help emphasize the romantic Okanagan vineyards, sunsets reflecting off of Lake Okanagan and the magnificance of the surrounding rustic mountains. It’s a perfect pairing. Yuriko loves to stylize and design weddings that are romantic, focused on ambience and which represent her clients well in personality and style. While she has the word, ‘vintage’ in her business name her decor selection and vision is not exclusive to that.
Taylar Mayo joined our team in 2017 as Vintage Origami’s lead decorating assistant. She has since decorated at over 100 events including managing her own weddings and staff. Taylar is smart, beautiful, cheerful, stylish and an all-around a joy to be with. She laughs at her own jokes…for days. We love being around her. She used to be my neighbour and lived directly next door. Supposedly, the first month I moved into my new home I leaned over the railing one day and asked her name and what her plans were that weekend. Before she knew it I had invited her to join our team that Saturday to decorate a wedding. I forgot to tell her what she was doing for work that day – or even what my company does. She joined us regardless and has been with us ever since.
Yuriko accepts only a limited number of events each season in order to provide her clients with the most personalized relationship possible. She offers three different packages which each provide all the styling, vendor curation, design, delivery, decor, take down, and access to her carefully chosen inventory collection.
